When Desiderio Txomin fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacheros OFF's protests and gave Desiderio Txomin a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Wilfredo Monico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Eyague was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Wilfredo Monico struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Rigoberto Eyague didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gladiadores. Tacheros OFF's Rigoberto Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Monico in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Wilfredo Monico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gladiadores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Monico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Desiderio Txomin hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the game, Jesus Lluis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gladiadores's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tacheros OFF the free kick. A collision led to Gladiadores getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jesus Lluis hit a great ball. Wilfredo Monico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudio Iturri scored 0-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rigoberto Eyague, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jesus Lluis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfredo Monico to strike the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Eyague made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Wilfredo Monico sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Tacheros OFF's Desiderio Txomin got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Jesus Lluis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tacheros OFF's Rigoberto Eyague proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Tacheros OFF from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Gladiadores's Edelmiro Tercero got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Samuel Raphael sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Romelio skillfully saved the ball. Jesus Lluis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rigoberto Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wilfredo Monico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Amadeo Gartxot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacheros OFF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Gartxot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilfredo Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Desiderio Txomin was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 79th minute, Desiderio Txomin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesus Lluis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Tacheros OFF getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Lázaro Azevedo hit a great ball. Wilfredo Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfredo Monico came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rigoberto Eyague could save by the left post. After 91 played minutes Tacheros OFF got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Raphael. 96 minutes into the match, Tacheros OFF's goalkeeper Rigoberto Eyague had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Monico. Gladiadores's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
