Hønning's Børge Ryal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Gama in the 8th minute of play. Børge Ryal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adélio Neves in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Buster Roschmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Filipe Quinaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Børge Ryal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Hønning's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Fernandes came free, but Børge Ryal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Quinaz scored 0-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Børge Ryal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute Adélio Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Børge Ryal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Manuel Fernandes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Børge Ryal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Hønning's Børge Ryal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Gama in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Filipe Quinaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Børge Ryal was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Hønning's Buster Roschmann got a free kick in the 40th minute. When Joseph Thistel fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hønning's protests and gave Joseph Thistel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Thistel to maneuver through the defense. Børge Ryal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Gama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Gama in the 47th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Børge Ryal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. Zeferino Sacadura kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Bøndorff in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eurico Figueira saved Gremio Viana from getting behind. Hønning's Børge Ryal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Quinaz in the 55th minute of play. Zeferino Sacadura kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Buster Roschmann kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Hønning booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adélio Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Børge Ryal was a little too slow when Manuel Fernandes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-5. Børge Ryal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adélio Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Adelino Gama had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Børge Ryal. Hønning's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adelino Gama was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 75 minutes into the match, Filipe Quinaz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Børge Ryal, 0-7. 81 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Bøndorff came free, but Eurico Figueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Quinaz struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Børge Ryal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gremio Viana. In the 83rd match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Thistel to maneuver through the defense. When Joseph Thistel was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. In the 85th minute, Joseph Thistel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gremio Viana's Eurico Figueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Haugsted in the 89th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Børge Ryal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Børge Ryal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Quinaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Gremio Viana left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hønning.
