Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Giorda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sefa Tanaltay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Giorda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burhanettin Erçevik, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Arturo Abete hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Alberto Giorda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sefa Tanaltay in the 12th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Merceron United's Carlo Mandelli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Uğurcan Çakır. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Real Trabzon Sk's Haluk Akgüngör got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Augusto Furia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merceron United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Furia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ermanno Di Federico's late challenge caught a Real Trabzon Sk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermanno Di Federico helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Ermanno Di Federico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Giorda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sefa Tanaltay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Refik Kayıboylu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Giorda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlo Mandelli was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sefa Tanaltay got free with Alberto Giorda in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Burhanettin Erçevik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alberto Giorda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Abete charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Abete the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Bosso during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claudio Bosso hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes, Real Trabzon Sk's Bumin Şahbaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Giorda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Trabzon Sk reached it. In the 64th minute, Sefa Tanaltay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Trabzon Sk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a rather tough play, Merceron United's Claudio Bosso got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Augusto Furia fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merceron United's protests and gave Augusto Furia a yellow card for diving instead. Burhanettin Erçevik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th play minute Sefa Tanaltay came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alberto Giorda. 1-3. 88 minutes into the game, Augusto Furia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Uğurcan Çakır was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
