Expresso Ranelagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astros de México the free kick. After a rather tough play, Expresso Ranelagh's Ruben Quinton got a free kick in the 21st minute. Rigoberto Ilixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Eutor in the 24th minute of the match. Rigoberto Ilixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Aimar in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Expresso Ranelagh's Amancio Savion got control of the ball when Joaquin Soter tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Expresso Ranelagh booed when Astros de México was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Dimo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cirilo Fraco was the one to do the kick off. Amancio Savion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Soter, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute Cirilo Fraco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ilixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Ilixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Eutor, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With an all-out effort, Expresso Ranelagh's Rigoberto Ilixo threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gabriel Eutor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Expresso Ranelagh! Expresso Ranelagh:s Amancio Savion showed great skill when he stopped Lucas Sidro:s penalty. In the 75th match minute, Expresso Ranelagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Cordarin to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Astros de México's goalkeeper Rigoberto Ilixo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Asier. Amancio Savion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Soter in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute Joaquin Soter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Savion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Ilixo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cirilo Fraco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 94 minute of play. The Expresso Ranelagh supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Expresso Ranelagh would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
