Sandro Valverde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herbert Wawak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Super Nova Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Correia came free, but Herbert Wawak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herbert Wawak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Pires in the 40th minute of play. Super Nova Galaxy's Herbert Wawak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Palha in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ludomil Dula to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Durães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Herbert Wawak. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Exército Português's Angelo Palha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Herbert Wawak. That made the score 0-3 after 57 minutes of play. Borys Nowak kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franciszek Kaszubik during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Exército Português booed when Super Nova Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franciszek Kaszubik didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Israel Correia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Exército Português's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Super Nova Galaxy the free kick. With an all-out effort, Exército Português's Herbert Wawak threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Israel Correia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hieronim Posadzki kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes, Exército Português's Patrício Gueifão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Herbert Wawak came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Exército Português reached it. After 87 played minutes Super Nova Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Fetor. Exército Português's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
