Spectators: 7477 (Terracing: 5609, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) In the 8th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Domingues to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astros de México's goalkeeper Rigoberto Ilixo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Quinito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquin Soter went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Mariano Chago got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Lucas Sidro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Quinito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Jonatan Jurgi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Astros de México fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 25 minutes in the game, Bonifacio Bembe fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rigoberto Ilixo having to interfere. In the 30th minute Joaquin Soter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Quinito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Quinito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Behe in the 31st minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Astros de México got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Sidro. Rigoberto Ilixo came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Bonifacio Bembe. But to his dismay, Bonifacio Bembe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. With his leg Rigoberto Ilixo managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Boca Juniors's Marco Lop fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half Astros de México were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Astros de México made a substitution. Celedonio Evangelista replaced Clemente Behe. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Lop to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Lucas Sidro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astros de México and the Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Quinito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Jurgi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Joaquin Soter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Carlos Quinito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Quinito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Jurgi in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Astros de México booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Gotzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Evangelista in the 69th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Carlos Quinito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Marco Lop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ilixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Astros de México's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Lop came free, but Rigoberto Ilixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, Astros de México's Celedonio Evangelista made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Quinito was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Astros de México booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Gotzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bonifacio Bembe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rigoberto Ilixo having to make a save. Astros de México played a much better game than Boca Juniors and deserved their victory. The Boca Juniors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
