Herbert Wawak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Mandelli in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goalkeeper Alberto Giorda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludomil Dula. The supporters of Super Nova Galaxy booed when Merceron United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Abete didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ludomil Dula's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Giorda was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. With a little luck, Merceron United's Alberto Giorda got control of the ball when Ludomil Dula tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlo Mandelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Carlo Mandelli made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Fedele Piscitelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merceron United's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedele Piscitelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert Wawak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 52nd match minute, Super Nova Galaxy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobald Pacholewski to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the game, Ermanno Mammarella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merceron United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Super Nova Galaxy the free kick. In the 55th minute, Ermanno Mammarella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludomil Dula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Super Nova Galaxy booed when Merceron United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Bosso didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Franciszek Kaszubik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alberto Giorda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 73rd match minute, Super Nova Galaxy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borys Nowak to maneuver through the defense. If Ermanno Mammarella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Wawak was a little too slow when Carlo Mandelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 0-1. In the 84th minute, Claudio Bosso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franciszek Kaszubik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alberto Giorda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
