Goiz Calderon started the match with the kick off. Domingos Sandalio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Tiburcio Cienfuegos made a huge save. 17 minutes into the match, Calvino Lozano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Macario. Juniors FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calvino Lozano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, U.D. Mancini's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Sandalio came free, but Tiburcio Cienfuegos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cayetano Jakue got free with Tiburcio Cienfuegos in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cayetano Jakue during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cayetano Jakue hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Domingos Sandalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Cienfuegos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pepillo Griful hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Gervasio Macario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pericles Gabas in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of U.D. Mancini booed when Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Perna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Goiz Calderon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Macario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half U.D. Mancini were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cayetano Jakue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pericles Gabas got free with Gervasio Macario in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th match minute, Juniors FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Suarez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Jakue in the 58th minute of play forced U.D. Mancini's goalkeeper Tiburcio Cienfuegos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68thth minute of the game Domingos Sandalio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U.D. Mancini's Tiburcio Cienfuegos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 75 minutes, Pepillo Griful mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U.D. Mancini and the Juniors FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, U.D. Mancini's Marcial Nafría got a free kick in the 79th minute. Tiburcio Cienfuegos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pericles Gabas in the 89th minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Macario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Juniors FC's Gervasio Macario got control of the ball when Goiz Calderon tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the U.D. Mancini defense, Cayetano Jakue kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Cienfuegos. The U.D. Mancini fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Cienfuegos should have stopped the shot.
