Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Fabinho Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto de Azevedo having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Ciro Simões notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of AITEC's Bebeto de Azevedo. Bebeto de Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MarquinhosEC's Ciro Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Vides in the 22nd minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guto de Toledo hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. MarquinhosEC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Luiz Antunes scored to the left of an out of position Sílvio Luiz Baiano, making the score, 1-1. In the 31st minute, Matías Machado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AITEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sílvio Luiz Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matías Machado in the 35th minute. AITEC's Bebeto de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Marinho in the 37th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabinho Marinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabinho Marinho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bebeto de Azevedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabinho Marinho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 52nd minute. Reynaldo Souto took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bebeto de Azevedo. Bebeto de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. A collision led to AITEC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Manfredo de Lara hit a great ball. After 65 minutes, Elano Xavier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MarquinhosEC and the AITEC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Xavier to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Luiz Baiano came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by AITEC's Matías Machado. But to his dismay, Matías Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 82nd minute, Manfredo de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matías Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Sílvio Luiz Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Ciro Simões took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Bebeto de Azevedo to make any attempt to save it.
