The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stewart Shaver during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Stewart Shaver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Charlotte FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Percy Mahoney hit a great ball. PMFC 2018's Rómeó Ambrus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save PMFC 2018 from getting a goal against them. After 24 minutes, Endre Lukács mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PMFC 2018 and the Charlotte FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Charlotte FC booed when PMFC 2018 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Endre Lukács didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wade Stacy might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rómeó Ambrus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wade Stacy ran back to his position shaking his head. Ákos Kecskés received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jessie Amos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jessie Amos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Kis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the PMFC 2018 defense, Wade Stacy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rómeó Ambrus. The PMFC 2018 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rómeó Ambrus should have stopped the shot. Jessie Amos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ákos Kecskés, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Szabolcs Kerekes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jessie Amos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Szabolcs Kerekes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and János Kis made a kick off. If Balázs Józsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PMFC 2018's Rómeó Ambrus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wade Stacy in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Antal Csordás was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PMFC 2018's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charlotte FC the free kick. Antal Csordás hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Ervin Bertha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balázs Józsa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jessie Amos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Kis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, János Kis managed to get in a good position for a shot. PMFC 2018's supporters rose to their feet, but János Kis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jessie Amos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the match, Ervin Bertha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jessie Amos. Charlotte FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ervin Bertha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. With a little luck, Charlotte FC's Jessie Amos got control of the ball when Ervin Bertha tried to sneak it across the goal line. PMFC 2018's Rómeó Ambrus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terence Quinn in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to PMFC 2018 getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Antal Csordás hit a great ball.
