Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ermegildo Guilabertus started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Richard Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ruben Fagondo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ruben Fagondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Toledo in the 13th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Pendotiba got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Sá. Júlio Quadros's late challenge caught a chacarita1969's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Quadros helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Júlio Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Ovidio Erroman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murillo Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, chacarita1969's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Toledo came free, but Ruben Fagondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Pendotiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Sá to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Nalo in the 41st minute of play. Filomeno Elodio made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eliseo Liberto however managed to control. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murillo Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Pendotiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Ruben Fagondo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 70 minutes into the match, chacarita1969's goalkeeper Ruben Fagondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Toledo. In the 77th match minute, chacarita1969 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Elodio to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, chacarita1969's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Walmyr de Toledo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Murillo Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pendotiba's supporters rose to their feet, but Murillo Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Fagondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pendotiba's Ramiro Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Liberto in the 91st minute of play.
