Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pieter-Jan Roelandts in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pieter-Jan Roelandts in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Dias saved Pendotiba from getting behind. Cacá Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Charles Cheepers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramiro Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Pieter-Jan Roelandts scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ramiro Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Pendotiba's Paulão Quirino got a free kick in the 26th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Marc Saelens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KV Schoonwater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Saelens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremie Verhengen's late challenge caught a Pendotiba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremie Verhengen helped the player get up and apologised. Pendotiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KV Schoonwater the free kick.
