Rodo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mero Barbadillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. KV Schoonwater's Nicky Rauvoets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ipar Monzonis in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan-Carlos Otero in the 6th minute of play forced KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Nicky Rauvoets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Marc Saelens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donatello Barajo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jean Van Aerschot 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Donatello Barajo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Van Aerschot, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pieter-Jan Roelandts got free with Donatello Barajo in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo defense, Pieter-Jan Roelandts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donatello Barajo. The Club Dep. Soc. Rodo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donatello Barajo should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Ipar Monzonis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donatello Barajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pieter-Jan Roelandts in the 23rd minute of the match. Donatello Barajo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Saelens in the 25th minute of play. Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when Pieter-Jan Roelandts came free, but Donatello Barajo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donatello Barajo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pieter-Jan Roelandts went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. KV Schoonwater's Matthias Persoons was substituted for Charles Cheepers. The supporters of Club Dep. Soc. Rodo booed when KV Schoonwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieter-Jan Roelandts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donatello Barajo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Van Aerschot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KV Schoonwater had played much better football throughout.
