Nunez Iruinea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 5 minutes into the game, Rangers FC's Tyler McCraw nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nunez Iruinea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 12 minutes, Raymond Johnston made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Falcor Athletic Club's Nunez Iruinea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute Logan McCubbin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Iruinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Falcor Athletic Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tyler McCraw was slow to take the kick. During this time Rangers FC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Rangers FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Shane Lansdale hit a great ball. David Elorri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Fergus Fairbairn made a huge save. In the 30th match minute, Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradley Carr to maneuver through the defense. Nunez Iruinea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Logan McCubbin in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Raymond Johnston left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rangers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Filomeno Lleir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Raymond Johnston came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Rangers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raymond Johnston couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Logan McCubbin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Iruinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fergus Fairbairn made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Elorri in the 46th minute. Logan McCubbin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Iruinea having to interfere. After the first half Rangers FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Elorri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Falcor Athletic Club getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Filomeno Lleir hit a great ball. After 56 played minutes Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Bradley Carr. Bradley Carr's late challenge caught a Falcor Athletic Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bradley Carr helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rangers FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bradley Carr hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gervasio Arce during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Falcor Athletic Club's Gervasio Arce got a free kick in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Lleir in the 76th minute of play forced Rangers FC's goalkeeper Fergus Fairbairn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Rangers FC's Raymond Johnston ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nunez Iruinea. Nunez Iruinea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 85th minute, Raymond Johnston made a precise shot to the right of Nunez Iruinea. Falcor Athletic Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Raymond Johnston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Falcor Athletic Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Raymond Johnston 91 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. In the 96th minute, Raymond Johnston ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nunez Iruinea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8.
