In the 15th minute, Arotza Abajas made a precise shot to the right of Melvin Woering. Zijdewind SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to Kalatakaya F.C. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Godofredo Abalos hit a great ball. Rius Abar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd match minute, Kalatakaya F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rius Abar to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Ferdi Dekens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bento Abeita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melvin Woering showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincente Abel in the 25th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Zijdewind SC defense, Loreto Abaurre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melvin Woering. The Zijdewind SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melvin Woering should have stopped the shot. Bento Abeita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Gulpen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bento Abeita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferdi Dekens's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Loreto Abaurre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melvin Woering read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Etxahun Abastas to strike the kick off in the second half. Bento Abeita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk-Jan Slot in the 62nd minute of play. Bento Abeita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdi Dekens in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Kalatakaya F.C. booed when Zijdewind SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Zaagman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melvin Woering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toribio Abecia in the 88th minute of play. Jan Assendelft's late challenge caught a Kalatakaya F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Assendelft helped the player get up and apologised. Jan Assendelft hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zijdewind SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kalatakaya F.C..
