The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arlindo Goiano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Edson Futebol Clube reached it. Lukasz Zakrzewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui de Queirós in the 36th minute of play. Lech Bielecki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Arlindo Goiano made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jânio Saldanha was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Zbyszek Pisarcik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
