Spectators: 7530 (Terracing: 5649, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kasper Lindell kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Edson Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Zé Pedro Garcia hit a great ball. After 4 played minutes Edson Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Figueiredo. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Saraiva in the 7th minute of play. José Chilavert came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Edson Futebol Clube's Ulisses Coutinho. But to his dismay, Ulisses Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Saldanha in the 12th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Ramiro Saraiva took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for José Chilavert to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes into the game, Harald Wallengren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue Boys Predators's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edson Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 17th minute, Klas Malmberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jânio Saldanha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but José Chilavert made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Ramiro Saraiva made a precise shot to the right of José Chilavert. Blue Boys Predators's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. A collision led to Blue Boys Predators getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Harald Wallengren hit a great ball. José Chilavert was a little too slow when Caetano Nunes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 4-0. Arlindo Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasper Lindell, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. José Chilavert was a little too slow when Ramiro Saraiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 5-0. After a rather tough play, Blue Boys Predators's Harald Wallengren got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 39th match minute, Blue Boys Predators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klas Malmberg to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Blue Boys Predators's goalkeeper José Chilavert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jânio Saldanha.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jânio Saldanha was the one to do the kick off. Inácio de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edson Futebol Clube's Inácio de Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Saraiva in the 57th minute of play forced Blue Boys Predators's goalkeeper José Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Harald Wallengren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blue Boys Predators's goalkeeper José Chilavert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramiro Saraiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Chilavert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Saraiva ran back to his position shaking his head. Emil Jakobsson charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Jakobsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Jânio Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blue Boys Predators's José Chilavert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ulisses Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio Saldanha in the 87th minute of the match. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Nunes in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Kennet Brovall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue Boys Predators's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edson Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 94th match minute, Blue Boys Predators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennet Brovall to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Caetano Nunes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Blue Boys Predators's José Chilavert didn't even have to move. When the referee ended the match the Edson Futebol Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
