Tiburcio Ranolfo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johann Scheuerer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Halil Winskowsky charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Halil Winskowsky the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Halil Winskowsky kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Halil Winskowsky could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Hipolito Cordero made a huge save. Halil Winskowsky's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hipolito Cordero firmly grabbed it by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Hipolito Cordero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bósforo FC's Hipolito Cordero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Bósforo FC from getting a goal against them. Hipolito Cordero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Nölte in the 47th minute of play.

52 minutes into the game, Noel Erler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bósforo FC the free kick. After 52 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Noel Erler. In the 61st minute Arturo Veremundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johann Scheuerer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Schlesinger. If Conrado Rocendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Ziebart kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Tiburcio Ranolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Rocendo came free in the 86th minute and tried to tip the ball over Johann Scheuerer, but to the joy of Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters the ball went over. Arturo Veremundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Bósforo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Nölte came free, but Hipolito Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bósforo FC's Hipolito Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halil Winskowsky in the 91st minute of play. Torsten Schlesinger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hipolito Cordero. Bósforo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bósforo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
