Spectators: 7545 (Terracing: 5660, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Johann Scheuerer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johann Scheuerer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodrigo Paublo went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 19 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Sven Börger. Johann Scheuerer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Paublo in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match AC LeX Luthor got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaudencio Clis ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 25th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino Nölte to maneuver through the defense. Johann Scheuerer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Servando in the 32nd minute of the match. Johann Scheuerer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Hotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rot-Weiss-Essen's zone, Braulio Hotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johann Scheuerer came out of the goal and Braulio Hotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Paublo in the 38th minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Johann Scheuerer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radomil Gabler's late challenge caught a AC LeX Luthor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radomil Gabler helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Radomil Gabler. Aaron Timo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomil Gabler to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Paublo might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johann Scheuerer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Paublo ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, Rodrigo Paublo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johann Scheuerer. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johann Scheuerer should have stopped the shot. After the first half AC LeX Luthor were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Halil Winskowsky to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Hotz got free with Johann Scheuerer in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Rot-Weiss-Essen's Halil Winskowsky in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AC LeX Luthor's goalie prevented a goal. After 62 minutes of play, AC LeX Luthor's Rodrigo Paublo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johann Scheuerer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Robustiano Inge charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robustiano Inge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes AC LeX Luthor got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Inge. In the 67th match minute, AC LeX Luthor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Escobar to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Hansjörg Selke came free, but Iker Gagriel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braulio Hotz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johann Scheuerer having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Braulio Hotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC LeX Luthor's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Hotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johann Scheuerer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino Nölte in the 82nd minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Iker Gagriel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Braulio Hotz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Johann Scheuerer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Halil Winskowsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AC LeX Luthor's Braulio Hotz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the final whistle sounded AC LeX Luthor left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rot-Weiss-Essen.
