In the 14thth minute of the game Halil Winskowsky who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ŠK Horelica's Tomáš Omasta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Hans Schrader hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 18 in the game by Stano Grman from a close distance when the talented Johann Scheuerer managed to make a qualified save. Rot-Weiss-Essen's players were relieved. Hans Schrader sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ŠK Horelica's Tomáš Omasta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halil Winskowsky in the 26th minute of play. Matias Wedekind didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes in the game Stano Grman after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Johann Scheuerer. A very good opportunity. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Halil Winskowsky made a kick off. Tomáš Omasta was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Radomil Gabler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Radomil Gabler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. If Halil Winskowsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Tomáš Omasta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mojmír Rybárik in the 64th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Stano Grman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johann Scheuerer was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over ŠK Horelica's much stronger midfield.
