The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Vinará FC booed when AD Pontassolense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervásio Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 minutes of play, Vinará FC's Faustino Guter made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesário Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Plácido Sá came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the AD Pontassolense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Plácido Sá couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolau Fagundes got free with Esteve Tonio in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustavo Aznar's late challenge caught a AD Pontassolense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Aznar helped the player get up and apologised. Gustavo Aznar kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Vinará FC were furious when Edelmiro Txaran was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 15 minutes into the game, one of Vinará FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, AD Pontassolense's Afonso Castanheira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Esteve Tonio. In the 21st minute, Gervásio Anjos made a precise shot to the right of Esteve Tonio. Vinará FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Vinará FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Plácido Sá scored to the left of an out of position Esteve Tonio, making the score, 3-1. The nice shot from Nicolau Fagundes in the 35thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Esteve Tonio had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With a little luck, Vinará FC's Esteve Tonio got control of the ball when Nicolau Fagundes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esteve Tonio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervásio Anjos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Esteve Tonio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolau Fagundes in the 41st minute. Gustavo Aznar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Cesário Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vinará FC. 53 minutes into the match, Plácido Sá notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Vinará FC's Esteve Tonio. Esteve Tonio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolau Fagundes in the 57th minute of play forced Vinará FC's goalkeeper Esteve Tonio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinará FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolau Fagundes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1.
