An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Huarte in the 16th minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Patrick Pronk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Boca Juniors's Firmo Quiroga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrick Pronk. That made the score 0-3 after 57 minutes of play. Patrick Pronk was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Altzibar Cabrera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Altzibar Cabrera really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Patrick Pronk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germán Alonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Tommie Struik made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Boca Juniors's Franco Manrique. In the 96th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Manrique to maneuver through the defense. The Springplank FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boca Juniors were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
