Jim Ackroyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Alvin Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosmos Soccer Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvin Santiago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rex Marler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rex Marler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonah Dobbs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonah Dobbs in the 25th minute of play forced Arrows Academy FC's goalkeeper Rex Marler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rex Marler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Maher's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Arrows Academy FC's Brian Burgess got a free kick in the 30th minute. Simon Roche hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Camron Bullard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quintin Saldana having to interfere. Rex Marler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Maher, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Maher stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvin Santiago got free with Rex Marler in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rex Marler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Maher in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Jonah Dobbs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cosmos Soccer Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrows Academy FC the free kick. In the 59th minute, Jonah Dobbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Cosmos Soccer Club getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jonah Dobbs hit a great ball. When Simon Roche came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Arrows Academy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Roche couldn't finish the play. George Broom kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Rex Marler acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tyson Stanford. In the 73rd minute, Alvin Santiago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 86 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Claude Tuttle. In the 90th minute, Claude Tuttle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Maher to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cosmos Soccer Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
