Spectators: 7523 (Terracing: 5643, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anselmo Esdras started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Abeluse Flow booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Milio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicasio Mendebal came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oscar Maldonado could save by the left post. In the 16th minute, Jorge Cordoba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso Jerrald was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. RIVER's Narciso Jerrald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis Casillas in the 19th minute of play. Abeluse Flow were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after RIVER's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ponce Rodriguez took the corner. 23 minutes into the match, Jorge Cordoba notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of RIVER's Narciso Jerrald. Narciso Jerrald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Abeluse Flow's Angelo Bodelon got a free kick in the 27th minute. Oscar Maldonado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Esdras, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. RIVER's Nicasio Mendebal got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The RIVER fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when RIVER's Nicasio Mendebal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 36 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Eriz Canturri came free, but Narciso Jerrald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Jerrald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriz Canturri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Jerrald came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Abeluse Flow's Jorge Cordoba. But to his dismay, Jorge Cordoba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francis Casillas was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, RIVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Nofre to maneuver through the defense. Luis-Miguel Sevilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Narciso Jerrald made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Casillas came free, but Narciso Jerrald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Jerrald made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Luis-Miguel Sevilla sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice moves Angelo Bodelon could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Narciso Jerrald however easily saved by the left post. In the 63rd minute Luis-Miguel Sevilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Jerrald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, RIVER's Nicasio Mendebal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Maldonado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Nicasio Mendebal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Oscar Maldonado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abeluse Flow's Oscar Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Nofre in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Abeluse Flow got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Cordoba. Nicasio Mendebal kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 84 played minutes Abeluse Flow got a freekick which was hit by Ponce Rodriguez. 89 minutes into the game, Gerardo Ixaka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIVER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abeluse Flow the free kick. In the 89th minute, Gerardo Ixaka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th match minute, RIVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Ixaka to maneuver through the defense. Abeluse Flow's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
