The audience was convinced that Simon Roche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Roberto Chaves was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Arrows Academy FC's Simon Roche got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The referee ignored Arrows Academy FC's protests and gave Kurt Boyce a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Arrows Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Boyce. In the 20th minute, Allan Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Camron Bullard's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zé Roberto Chaves firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 27th minute Allan Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rex Marler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Arrows Academy FC's Des Ealham got a free kick in the 35th minute. Rex Marler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Dorian Campidelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. União Agrícola Barbarense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrows Academy FC the free kick. In the 39th match minute, União Agrícola Barbarense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 40 minutes, Jim Ackroyd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrows Academy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim Ackroyd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camron Bullard struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Zé Roberto Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrows Academy FC. After some careless play in the Arrows Academy FC defense, Allan Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rex Marler. The Arrows Academy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rex Marler should have stopped the shot. The Arrows Academy FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. União Agrícola Barbarense were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Allan Mendes was the one to do the kick off. Rex Marler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delfim Melo in the 58th minute. With 61 minutes on the clock, Dieguinho Toscano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Arrows Academy FC. Camron Bullard stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zé Roberto Chaves. 2-2. Zézinho Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Burgess hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Mendes in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rex Marler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, Simon Roche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Roberto Chaves. União Agrícola Barbarense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simon Roche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Zé Roberto Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camron Bullard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Arrows Academy FC's Camron Bullard, in the 76th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Arrows Academy FC. After 82 played minutes Arrows Academy FC got a freekick which was hit by Des Ealham. Arrows Academy FC's Camron Bullard got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Roberto Chaves came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Arrows Academy FC's Jim Ackroyd. But to his dismay, Jim Ackroyd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. In the 93rd minute Camron Bullard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Simon Roche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Roberto Chaves.
