Staffan Törnqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iachetti Riart in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Iachetti Riart dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Staffan Törnqvist, 1-0. In the 9th match minute, Club Deportivo Santiago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Cuebas to maneuver through the defense. Helge Glad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Roldan Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Staffan Törnqvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Bengt-Arne Harman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Santiago's zone, Helge Glad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roldan Barreto came out of the goal and Helge Glad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo Santiago's Reasco Abres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Staffan Törnqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Iachetti Riart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hisings Kärra RK booed when Club Deportivo Santiago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Cuebas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Bengt-Arne Harman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roldan Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Staffan Törnqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Irizarry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ambrossi Colina to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Deportivo Santiago's Ambrossi Colina got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Victoriano Guim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mark Hellgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Roldan Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Arne Harman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Staffan Törnqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Mauricio Irizarry left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportivo Santiago fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 69 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Santiago's Reasco Abres made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Staffan Törnqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Staffan Törnqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iachetti Riart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Ahlén charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Ahlén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute of the match Edison Oribe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Staffan Törnqvist skillfully saved the ball. Hisings Kärra RK's Helge Glad came free and shot a quick shot against goal 82 minutes in the game, fortunately Roldan Barreto had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Mark Hellgren, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Staffan Törnqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iachetti Riart in the 95th minute of play.
