The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jon-Erik Boge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roldan Barreto came out and tried to block the shot, but Jon-Erik Boge slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Walme Jaquinot's late challenge caught a Legia Stavanger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walme Jaquinot helped the player get up and apologised. Walme Jaquinot kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Legia Stavanger's Edvin Vedå slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roldan Barreto. That made the score 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. In the 22nd minute, Markus Tømmervik made a precise shot to the right of Roldan Barreto. Club Deportivo Santiago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Roldan Barreto made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Edvin Vedå sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the match, Edvin Vedå notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Club Deportivo Santiago's Roldan Barreto. Roldan Barreto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute, Thorbjørn Stølen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stein Naas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iachetti Riart in the 32nd minute of the match. Roldan Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon-Erik Boge in the 35th minute of play. Stein Naas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambrossi Colina went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Roldan Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Tømmervik in the 44th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Markus Tømmervik took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Roldan Barreto to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Markus Tømmervik to strike the kick off in the second half. Kristoffer Løkkeberg kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Bohórquez Flores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thorbjørn Stølen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roldan Barreto. Club Deportivo Santiago's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Roldan Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon-Erik Boge, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Ambrossi Colina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon-Erik Boge scored 6-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roldan Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 78 minutes of play, Legia Stavanger's Jon-Erik Boge made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roldan Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edvin Vedå succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 8-1. In the 85th minute Markus Tømmervik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roldan Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roldan Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Tømmervik in the 89th minute of play. Roldan Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Tømmervik in the 91st minute of the match. Roldan Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristoffer Løkkeberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Legia Stavanger's Jon-Erik Boge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
