In the 23rd minute Karl-Magnus Nyberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dick Browall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Per-Erik Allbom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Michel Duset was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Asarum's Henrik Engström got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Per-Erik Allbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Rudqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Duset having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Magnus Nyberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Henrik Engström came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Asarum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Engström couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Asarum getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Frans Jonsson hit a great ball. Dick Browall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl-Magnus Nyberg in the 57th minute. Michel Duset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Rudqvist in the 65th minute of play. Dick Browall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Jonsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Asarum's Karl-Magnus Nyberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dick Browall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Rudqvist in the 82nd minute of play forced Asarum's goalkeeper Michel Duset to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Per-Erik Allbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asarum's Karl-Magnus Nyberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Karl-Magnus Nyberg off the ground. A collision led to Asarum getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Nyberg hit a great ball. Köping's Hugo Rudqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Rudqvist struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Michel Duset didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Köping. Köping's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
