An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Liberato in the 5th minute of play forced MKS Legion Częstochowa's goalkeeper Gustaw Rosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Herbert Huk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludomir Pietras might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe Padilha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ludomir Pietras ran back to his position shaking his head. FCPorto's Filipe Padilha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wasyl Dytrych in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to MKS Legion Częstochowa getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Patryk Kuszczak hit a great ball. Ludomir Pietras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Padilha having to interfere. FCPorto's Filipe Padilha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludomir Pietras in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the FCPorto defense, Herbert Huk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filipe Padilha. The FCPorto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filipe Padilha should have stopped the shot. Romão Bandeira struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Gustaw Rosen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCPorto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludomir Pietras in the 79th minute of play forced FCPorto's goalkeeper Filipe Padilha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Padilha went to the wrong direction when Mieszko Barys was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 97th minute Ludomir Pietras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Padilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Bentes during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FCPorto's Basílio Bentes got a free kick in the 98th minute. Filipe Padilha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludomir Pietras in the 100th minute of the match. MKS Legion Częstochowa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
