The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Justino Monico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Villa Mitre's Roman Montez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Villa Mitre from getting a goal against them. Gustavo Bide could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Roman Montez made a huge save. Roman Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Monico, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Esteve Millano came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Mitre's Raul Cordarell. But to his dismay, Raul Cordarell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Roman Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Monico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Alijilán returns getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Justino Monico hit a great ball. Esteve Millano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 37 played minutes Alijilán returns got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Bemabe. Astor Shepherd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esteve Millano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 46th minute Constantino Bemabe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Alijilán returns players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Villa Mitre were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantino Bemabe made a kick off. A collision led to Villa Mitre getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Aurelio Rubio hit a great ball. Gustavo Bide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Montez having to interfere. Roman Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Bemabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Monico came free, but Roman Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justino Monico in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Montez saved Villa Mitre from getting behind. After 68 played minutes Villa Mitre got a freekick which was hit by Americo Jerardo. Roman Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Monico in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Monico in the 75th minute of play forced Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Roman Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Monico's late challenge caught a Villa Mitre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justino Monico helped the player get up and apologised. Constantino Bemabe kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Augusto Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's Justino Monico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roman Montez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Villa Mitre's Roman Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Monico in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Bide in the 86th minute of play forced Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Roman Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Augusto Gaitan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Mitre's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Gaitan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Millano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Bemabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
