Costel Drăgan charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Costel Drăgan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Steaua Bucuresti -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Costel Drăgan. In the 25th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Scheerhoorn to maneuver through the defense. Elroy Eising didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ştefan Măgureanu went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s Ştefan Măgureanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elroy Eising narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emil Frânculescu made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Florian Bogaard sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joost Blommaart during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's zone, Costel Drăgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elroy Eising came out of the goal and Costel Drăgan tried to chip the ball over his head. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costel Drăgan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 77 minutes into the match, Andrei Macarie notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Elroy Eising. Elroy Eising was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petrică Trăistaru struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Elroy Eising didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steaua Bucuresti -MM-. In the 90th minute, Costel Drăgan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ted Sleiffer got a free kick in the 97th minute. Steaua Bucuresti -MM- were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
