Elias Milio's late challenge caught a Viseu United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Milio helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Caricancha got a freekick which was hit by Elias Milio. In the 12th minute, Hélio Prada made a precise shot to the right of Aldo Rafel. Caricancha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Caricancha's Aldo Rafel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Veiga in the 15th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Atauri to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jeremias Atauri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Telmo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Aldo Rafel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Olavo Carvalhais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Aldo Rafel made a huge save. Daniel Pimentel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aldo Rafel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Carvalhais, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 81 minutes, Claudio Beltza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caricancha and the Viseu United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Caricancha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Beltza to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Rafel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Daniel Pimentel. António Branco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Viseu United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Viseu United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
