Defensores del Albinegro's Cipriano Maore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon de Almeida in the 11th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo da Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Gustavo da Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Defensores del Albinegro booed when Academia Militar MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Gustavo da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Ariel Iraido left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensores del Albinegro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Delmar Arias's late challenge caught a Academia Militar MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Defensores del Albinegro. Bernardinho Freire was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ariel Iraido showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 22 minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper Bernardinho Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ariel Iraido. Maicon de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Maore having to interfere. Academia Militar MZ's Bernardinho Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Academia Militar MZ from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Ariel Iraido put it in 5-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bernardinho Freire.
