In the 47th minute, Jeremias Atauri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beniamin Miazga made a kick off. Radomil Zacharczyk's late challenge caught a Caricancha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ksawery Karwowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Atauri in the 54th minute of the match. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
