Severo Piarres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lordi's late challenge caught a Defensores del Albinegro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 12th minute Rigoberto Ipar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Lázaro Cordaryal got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Anibal Jerico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Jerico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Martxel having to interfere. Natalio Martxel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Ipar in the 29th minute of play. Segundo Tab charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Segundo Tab the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Defensores del Albinegro booed when A.D Atlético Villa Gesell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Tab didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the A.D Atlético Villa Gesell defense, Marciano Ilixo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natalio Martxel. The A.D Atlético Villa Gesell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natalio Martxel should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Tab in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Maore saved Defensores del Albinegro from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Segundo Tab to strike the kick off in the second half. Severo Piarres hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Cipriano Maore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Valerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 63 minutes, Delmar Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defensores del Albinegro and the A.D Atlético Villa Gesell players grew even worse after the yellow card. Delmar Arias hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Pastor Valerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of A.D Atlético Villa Gesell booed when Defensores del Albinegro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Heli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Jerico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Natalio Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Martxel came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores del Albinegro's Rigoberto Ipar. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Ipar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Defensores del Albinegro's Anibal Jerico got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cipriano Maore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Bastia, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the game, Pastor Valerio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores del Albinegro the free kick. Pastor Valerio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
