The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Amrani Bezzaz came free, but Ruperto Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 minutes of play, Salmiyah Power's Halim Djamel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Raulo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute Hameur Aribi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Raulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Larbi Deghmani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Ramone, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Hameur Aribi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salmiyah Power and the Margarita players grew even worse after the yellow card. Margarita's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
