BRASIL.Sp's Ian Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermínio Neiva hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Martins got free with Raul Platas in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Ian Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raul Platas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Hulberto Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo Nogueira having to interfere. Gildo Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eufemio Zugarrondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 35 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's goal looked a bit too open when Hulberto Arias came free, but Gildo Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gildo Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hulberto Arias in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Ian Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BRASIL.Sp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dei Ibarlucea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raul Platas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Simões in the 55th minute of play. When Hulberto Arias came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Atletico Maturrango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hulberto Arias couldn't finish the play. Milian Cañete kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atletico Maturrango's Olivar Carpio got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Chaime Boldu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the game, BRASIL.Sp's Jean Simões nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raul Platas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when Atletico Maturrango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hulberto Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Atletico Maturrango defense, Hermínio Neiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Platas. The Atletico Maturrango fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Platas should have stopped the shot. The Atletico Maturrango fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Platas should have stopped the shot. Olivar Carpio kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After 97 played minutes, BRASIL.Sp's Hermínio Neiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raul Platas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BRASIL.Sp reached it.
