Ennio Croce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After having played for 42 minutes, Jan-Erik Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sävedalen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Erik Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Christer Öberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sävedalen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6.

In the 51st minute, Sävedalen's Jan-Erik Larsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ennio Croce. Ennio Croce yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Christer Öberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ennio Croce could save by the left post. If Fulvio Faiella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sao Brasola's Ennio Croce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Sao Brasola from getting a goal against them. Ennio Croce made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Christer Öberg sent off a good shot on target. Sao Brasola's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Christer Öberg scored to the left of an out of position Ennio Croce, making the score, 0-8. After some careless play in the Sao Brasola defense, Christer Öberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ennio Croce. The Sao Brasola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ennio Croce should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Ian Vallengren in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sao Brasola's Ferdinando Clementi. The supporters of Sao Brasola booed when Sävedalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Öberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th match minute, Sävedalen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goalkeeper Ennio Croce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christer Öberg. Sävedalen played a much better game than Sao Brasola and deserved their victory. The Sao Brasola players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
