Spectators: 7471 (Terracing: 5604, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Gone With the Win's Lewis Woodhead started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pat Monk's late challenge caught a Tapa Red F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pat Monk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Pat Monk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gone With the Win booed when Tapa Red F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celipe Zamarripa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Stew Lonsdale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esquipula Unanue showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Gone With the Win's Lewis Woodhead in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tapa Red F.C's goalie prevented a goal. If Paolo Orellana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pat Monk hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lewis Woodhead in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esquipula Unanue prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiago Herro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Browne having to make a save. Lewis Woodhead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Esquipula Unanue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reno Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Lewis Woodhead shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esquipula Unanue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tapa Red F.C getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Celipe Zamarripa hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Lewis Woodhead managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gone With the Win's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis Woodhead was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esquipula Unanue breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Basil Parrott kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Lorenzo Olavarria took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ian Browne. Ian Browne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Hugh Wilkinson fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gone With the Win's protests and gave Hugh Wilkinson a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Gone With the Win got a freekick which was hit by Hugh Wilkinson. The audience was convinced that Lorenzo Olavarria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ian Browne was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 78th minute, Maxin Lombas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 86 minutes, Joseph Allwright managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gone With the Win's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Allwright was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 88 played minutes Tapa Red F.C got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Orellana. 92 minutes into the game, Tiago Herro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapa Red F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gone With the Win the free kick. Gone With the Win made a substitution. Vic Bayne replaced Joseph Allwright. A collision led to Tapa Red F.C getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Tiago Herro hit a great ball. The Tapa Red F.C players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
