Esquipula Unanue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnfred Gerbom in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Tommy Thernøe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esquipula Unanue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Tapa Red F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Arnfred Gerbom came free, but Esquipula Unanue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tapa Red F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommy Thernøe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Reno Rio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Kim Steinthal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Pheonix FC got a freekick which was hit by Morthen Moslet. Tomi Salcedo's late challenge caught a Pheonix FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomi Salcedo helped the player get up and apologised. Pheonix FC made a substitution. Sigfried Tegllund replaced Tommy Thernøe. Tomi Salcedo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Pheonix FC booed when Tapa Red F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Traspuesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esquipula Unanue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenney Klokker in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29thth minute of the game Lorenzo Olavarria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pheonix FC's Kim Steinthal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esquipula Unanue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnfred Gerbom in the 34th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Pheonix FC's goalkeeper Kim Steinthal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Olavarria. Kim Steinthal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reno Rio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Jerrold Suazo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Sigfried Tegllund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenney Klokker kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Lorenzo Olavarria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Steinthal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pheonix FC's zone, Reno Rio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kim Steinthal came out of the goal and Reno Rio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Pheonix FC's Esquipula Unanue threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sigfried Tegllund, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Tapa Red F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pheonix FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
