Josselin Portet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the game, Dante Ham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Josselin Portet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moses Lowe was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. Stowe City made a substitution. Bryon Valencia replaced Lyle Dill. When the match had been going on for 20 minutes, Ground Control's Sylvain Chiffoleau got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dillon Yoder. Dante Ham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Josselin Portet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ground Control defense, Dante Ham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josselin Portet. The Ground Control fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josselin Portet should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute of the game Homer Schmidt made a throw-in which Leon Hadley played forward. After a rather tough play, Stowe City's Arturo Charles got a free kick in the 40th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Youri Lignon made the kick off in the second half. Dillon Yoder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylvain Chiffoleau in the 53rd minute of the match. Just Bazoge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dillon Yoder having to interfere. Sylvain Chiffoleau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dante Ham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josselin Portet having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Ground Control got a freekick which was hit by Armand Marcos. In the 91st minute, Homer Schmidt had to leave the field with a concussion. Sylvain Chiffoleau charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sylvain Chiffoleau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stowe City's Jonathon Saunders was substituted for Homer Schmidt. When the final whistle sounded Stowe City left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ground Control.
