When Lenílson Santos came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the AFC - Curitiba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lenílson Santos couldn't finish the play. After 28 minutes of play, AFC - Curitiba's Lenílson Santos made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gugu Félix helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, AFC - Curitiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu Félix to maneuver through the defense. Bertil Dahlquist succeeded in the game's 46th minute to get real power on a long shot . AFC - Curitiba's Edmílson Matos hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-4! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Sånna goa grejer FC's Åke Kilström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Sånna goa grejer FC from getting a goal against them. Lenílson Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Åke Kilström made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AFC - Curitiba walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
