Oranil's Téo Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youri Lignon in the 10th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Ground Control were awarded a corner. Sylvain Chiffoleau went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sylvain Chiffoleau got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Téo Koehler quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Téo Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Lignon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ground Control getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Just Bazoge hit a great ball. Youri Lignons short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Téo Koehler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Ground Control fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Ground Control's Youri Lignon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Percival Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ewan Cuvier might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Téo Koehler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ewan Cuvier ran back to his position shaking his head. Oranil's Téo Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Youri Lignon in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Sylvain Chiffoleau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Téo Koehler. Oranil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sylvain Chiffoleau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonçalo Soeiro made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Youri Lignon made a precise shot to the right of Téo Koehler. Oranil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. A collision led to Ground Control getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Just Bazoge hit a great ball. Ground Control's Sylvain Chiffoleau got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Ground Control got a freekick which was hit by Sylvain Chiffoleau. 73 minutes into the game, Sofiane Donnat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Youri Lignon struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Téo Koehler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ground Control.
