The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When C.A Gryffindor's Faustino Asprilla in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Carlinhos Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's goalkeeper Antônio Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tudor Vulcănescu. Alex França hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes C.A Gryffindor got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves. Mugurel Chelaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Faustino Asprilla to strike the kick off in the second half. C.A Gryffindor's Antônio Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Buricea in the 54th minute of play. Antônio Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Vulcănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 67 played minutes, Fc Lothlorien's Valer Mălaimare shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antônio Rezende came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fc Lothlorien reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcu Panait in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Rezende saved C.A Gryffindor from getting behind. Tudor Vulcănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Tudor Vulcănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Antônio Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antônio Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Buricea, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Mugurel Chelaru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antônio Rezende. C.A Gryffindor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mugurel Chelaru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Tudor Vulcănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Rezende having to interfere.
