In the 3rd minute Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Mellin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Matrei FC's Isac Björk got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Real Matrei FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Martin Göransson hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Real Matrei FC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Asprilla came free, but Simon Mellin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Edvard Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Faustino Asprilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Rafa Diniz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Mellin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Faustino Asprilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Mellin. Real Matrei FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Asprilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With an all-out effort, Real Matrei FC's Antônio Rezende threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Isac Björk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carlinhos Ortiz hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Isac Björk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Antônio Rezende made a huge save. After 34 minutes of play, Real Matrei FC's Martin Göransson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ian Berglund hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Real Matrei FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa Diniz came free, but Simon Mellin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46thth minute of the game Faustino Asprilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Matrei FC's Simon Mellin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Real Matrei FC's Simon Mellin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Martin Göransson made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Isac Björk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to C.A Gryffindor getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Zé Pedro de Moraes hit a great ball. The supporters of Real Matrei FC booed when C.A Gryffindor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Göransson in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match, Faustino Asprilla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Simon Mellin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 76th match minute, Real Matrei FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Göransson to maneuver through the defense. Simon Mellin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 77th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alex França. Rafa Diniz placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Faustino Asprilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A Gryffindor's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Asprilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Mellin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
