The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hílton Luz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 20th minute, Jarbas Corrêa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Claudinei Passos came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the DIPLOMATA FC PAB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Passos couldn't finish the play. Hílton Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Abel de Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel de Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69thth minute of the game Marquinhos Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laguna Sunrise FC's Hílton Luz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 70 minutes, Faustão Koehler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laguna Sunrise FC and the DIPLOMATA FC PAB players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Laguna Sunrise FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Faustão Koehler hit a great ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 72nd minute, when DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Guto Arósio after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Hílton Luz in Laguna Sunrise FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Laguna Sunrise FC's Hílton Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Sousa in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, Laguna Sunrise FC's Hílton Luz got control of the ball when Marquinhos Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hílton Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Sousa in the 85th minute of play.
