The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Gildo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landulfos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the match, FC Dezassete's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Freitas came free, but Viriato Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Dezassete's Hildeberto Peixoto got a free kick in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Gildo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of Landulfos FC booed when FC Dezassete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Lousada didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Hildeberto Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felippe Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Vilalobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the game, Waldemar de Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Viriato Peixoto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Waldemar de Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viriato Peixoto was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 34th minute, Claudinho Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gildo Freitas during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Dezassete booed when Landulfos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Vilalobos to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Claudinho Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Landulfos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Dezassete the free kick. When Daniel Freire fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Landulfos FC's protests and gave Daniel Freire a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Landulfos FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Daniel Freire hit a great ball. Felippe Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Viriato Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viriato Peixoto came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Landulfos FC's Waldemar de Sousa. But to his dismay, Waldemar de Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felippe Fontes got free with Viriato Peixoto in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Landulfos FC's Vladimir do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Vilalobos in the 81st minute of play. If Felippe Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hildeberto Peixoto hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes FC Dezassete got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Lousada. Rui Dante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Landulfos FC played a much better game than FC Dezassete and deserved their victory. The FC Dezassete players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
