The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Martins got free with Jan Sibon in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joep Daniels charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Jan Sibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Braga in the 29th minute of play. Jan Sibon was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Simão Braga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Simão Braga really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 45th minute, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Simão Braga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan Sibon. Jan Sibon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
