Celsinho Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Teixeira having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renan Faria got free with Claudinho Teixeira in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hartmann Futebol Clube's Cesinha Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Branco in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goalkeeper Claudinho Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celsinho Sanches. In the 43rd minute, Nestor de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute José Vítor Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Belmiro Baptista made a kick off. Renan Faria struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Claudinho Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hartmann Futebol Clube. After 66 minutes, Lenílson de Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SALIMEN and the Hartmann Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cesinha Tande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Vítor Paiva went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Hartmann Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Renan Faria hit a great ball. When Celsinho Sanches fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hartmann Futebol Clube's protests and gave Celsinho Sanches a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SALIMEN booed when Hartmann Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Belmiro Baptista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cesinha Tande. Belmiro Baptista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. When the match was over SALIMEN could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hartmann Futebol Clube throughout the match.
