Mariusz Modliszewski started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes of play, Lech Max's Mariusz Modliszewski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafim Peres was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Modliszewski in the 11th minute of play forced Noroeste Paulista's goalkeeper Serafim Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gláuber Veloso in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olaf Mis saved Lech Max from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Frédson Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes, Lech Max's Aleksander Czeszyk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Serafim Peres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lech Max reached it. Janusz Smolak struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Serafim Peres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lech Max. In the 23rd minute, Noroeste Paulista's Rômulo Pirani ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olaf Mis. Olaf Mis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Olaf Mis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Veloso in the 35th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Noroeste Paulista's Rômulo Pirani slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olaf Mis. That made the score 2-1 after 37 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Modliszewski in the 43rd minute of play forced Noroeste Paulista's goalkeeper Serafim Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gláuber Veloso made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Noroeste Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Modliszewski came free, but Serafim Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksander Czeszyk couldn't finish the play. Serafim Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janusz Smolak in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Aleksander Czeszyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lech Max's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Noroeste Paulista the free kick. Aleksander Czeszyk kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Serafim Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Modliszewski in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Noroeste Paulista getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Maurício da Mata hit a great ball. When Aleksander Czeszyk came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Lech Max fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksander Czeszyk couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Noroeste Paulista booed when Lech Max was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Czeszyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafim Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Czeszyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Gláuber Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
